We are Julia and Aleksej Walker and our daughter Swetlana. Originally our family is from Kazakhstan. Since 1999 we are living in Germany, in Hanover.
Ever since I can remember dogs and cats were always a very important part of our life. We always visited animal exhibitions. But first of all our own cats and dogs are our friends, companions and live close to our hearts.
Our oldest Afghan-Lady 'Rony-Odry' came with us to Germany too. Now, after a long happy dog-life she is gone. But she is still here with us and in our hearts; she will live forever in our mind.
In 2003 we have got a cream-smoke Persian-Lady for making our family grow. One year later our Luisa was prosperously presented at her first exposition.
Soon it was clear that it won't stop with only one cat. So we decided to set up a hobby out of breeding these wonderful cats. That was how we got our next Persian-Lady Josephina.
There are many ways to breed Persian-cats. After a long decision process we choose the "Colorpoints", because all our cats have "Colorpoint-genes" in their blood.
We have chosen the cannel name "Al Harayra" but we couldn't stay only with Persian-cats. Our daughter wanted to have an exotic cat, so we got a hairless one, "Don-Sphynx". Now we are in love with these unusual animals and so we decided to breed in two different lines "Colorpoints" and "Don-Sphynx".
Since then we had many ups and downs, which is normal when you live with animals. But our four legged-friends are part of our life, they are family and we are trying to give them all the love and care we have.
About a year after our Ronny has gone, we thought that we won't live without a dog any longer. We got information's about different breeds, but in the end we knew sighthounds are some special dogs for us and we will stay with this breed. So we found a rescue organization "Far from Fear" which is rehoming dogs from Spain. Now the Galgo Espanol dog Tigre -pet name Timmy is a well beloved member of our family. We are so glad to have him, because he is a very sensitive dog. When he met all our cats, he became a pussy cat himself and goes on with them so very well.
